Problem

When trying to access the Managed PKI Control Center, you may receive one of the following error messages: 
 
In Microsoft Internet Explorer:
 
The page cannot be displayed
 
Error 500: Internal Server Error

Managed PKI Error / Server Error / An error has occured in the Managed PKI Web Server.  Please contact VeriSign to report this problem. 
 
In Netscape:
 
The site 'onsite-admin.verisign.com' has requested client authentication, but you do not have a Personal Certificate to authenticate yourself. The site may choose not to give you access without one.
 
Your client is not allowed to access the requested object

Error: "The page cannot be displayed"
 

Cause

This problem may occur if any of the following conditions are true:
 
You try to access the Managed PKI Control Center using a bookmark to the wrong URL
 
The URL is misspelled
 
The private key of the Administrator ID is missing when logging into a different domain
 
The private key of the Administrator ID is missing after changing your password in Microsoft Windows XP
 
The Managed PKI Administrator ID is either revoked, expired, or incorrect (such as using a Pilot certificate for a Production account)
 
The Certificate Authority (CA) certificate may be expired or invalid
 

Resolution

 
Follow these guidelines to resolve the problem:
 
Ensure that you are using an appropriate bookmark or the correct URL to access the Control Center. An incorrect URL or bookmark causes the "Page cannot be displayed" error. For additional information, click the following solution ID:

SO2076 Error: "The page cannot be displayed" or "Managed PKI Error / Server Error.." when trying to access the Control Center using a bookmark
 
Ensure that you logged into the proper domain. An incorrect domain causes the "Error 500: Internal Server Error" error. For additional information, click the following solution ID:

Ensure that you recover your private key if you changed your password in Microsoft Windows XP. An unrecovered private key causes the "Page cannot be displayed" error. For additional information, click the following solution ID:

Ensure that you are using a valid Administrator ID. A revoked, expired, or incorrect Administrator ID causes the "3a0e" error. For additional information, click the following solution ID:
